RCT on Weather-Based Crop Insurance

A 12-village randomized controlled trial (RCT) in the Wardha and Akola districts of Maharashtra, studying how farmers take up weather-index insurance. The design included a baseline survey, randomized contract-clarity workshops in treatment villages, and an endline survey. Treatment villages showed higher insurance uptake among horticulture farmers.
